About the school
Minto Public School is a small, caring institution dedicated to providing quality education and opportunities for students to reach their full potential in a supportive and engaging environment. Established in 1867, the school has been at its current location since 1954 and proudly serves a diverse community. It features several original buildings, along with a historical train museum. To enhance learning, Minto Public School offers a broad spectrum of experiences across six key learning areas, structured in multi-age class groupings. Key priorities include Literacy, Numeracy, and student engagement, with tailored support available for students with special needs through a range of programs designed to promote student welfare.
Extra-curricular activities in academics, arts, and sports further enrich the student experience. The strong relationship between the school and the community is underscored by the commitment of an active Parents and Citizens Committee, which plays a crucial role in supporting educational initiatives at the school.
