About the school
Blairmount Public School was established in 1983 and is situated in Campbelltown. The school is dedicated to fostering a learning environment that emphasises high expectations and quality teaching. In 2019, Blairmount will introduce a new Support Unit, which features a Multicat class and two Autism classes, as part of its commitment to inclusive education. The school is involved in the Early Action for Success (EAfS) strategy, where Instructional Leaders collaborate with educators from Kindergarten to Year 6. This initiative aims to enhance teaching methodologies, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
Blairmount Public School engages its staff in collaborative practices informed by the Spiral of Inquiry framework, ensuring that educational programs are evidence-based. The school proudly provides modern facilities, including up-to-date technology such as 1:1 iPads for students in K-6. The focus for 2019 includes further improving pedagogy in visible learning and inquiry-based teaching across the curriculum.
As a Positive Behaviour for Learning school, Blairmount prioritises student welfare and promotes a positive school culture that enhances wellbeing, responsibility, and a sense of community. Parents and staff work together to support each student's individual learning journey, creating a welcoming atmosphere where all students can thrive and reach their potential.
