About the school
Campbelltown East Public School (CEPS) is located on the eastern side of Campbelltown and serves students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school prides itself on creating a safe, inclusive environment where every student can thrive. CEPS features an established multicategorical support unit and is one of the bases for the Campbelltown/Macarthur Itinerant Support Teachers - Hearing.
Student Support and Welfare
The teachers at CEPS are dedicated professionals who promote student development through carefully planned learning experiences. To support students, the school offers a learning support program that addresses both social and academic needs. Programs such as Reading Recovery and English as a Second Language complement the classroom experiences, ensuring all students receive the necessary support.
Focus Areas
CEPS emphasises literacy and numeracy, with dedicated teachers providing engaging, hands-on learning. The school's Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) initiative promotes student engagement and responsible behaviours. CEPS is also part of the National Partnerships Low SES program, which aims to enhance student learning outcomes with tailored strategies.
Facilities and Community Engagement
The facilities include air-conditioned classrooms, a computer laboratory, a fully equipped hall, and a large playing field, creating an optimal learning environment. An Out Of School Hours care facility caters to the community's needs. The school’s commitment to family partnerships ensures that parents are engaged in their children's education, fostering a strong community spirit.
