Point Clare Public School is situated on Brisbane Water Drive, serving the West Gosford, Point Clare, Tascott and Koolewong communities. The school offers a range of quality educational and sporting programs alongside various creative and performance-based extra-curricular activities. Point Clare Public School embraces an inclusive and innovative learning environment, fostering resilient and self-directed learners. The dedicated teaching, administrative, and support staff strive to develop critical and creative thinkers, creating meaningful connections with families and the community. Connections are further enhanced through an active Parents and Citizens Association (P and C) and student-led initiatives such as parliament and peer support groups.
The school has an impressive track record, with outstanding NAPLAN results over the past four years, and it is currently implementing a Visible Learning - School Impact Program to focus on evidence-based teaching. Core values of respect, responsibility, and participation are promoted through the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) program, which rewards personal responsibility and respectful behaviour.
Point Clare Public School caters to all students through stage-based teaching programs and academic enrichment, supported by a strong Learning Support team and a dedicated School Counsellor. The school also embraces Aboriginal culture, being part of the Coo-inda Local Aboriginal Educational Consultative Group. With a diverse community of approximately 475 students, including 79 EAL/D students from 31 nationalities, Point Clare Public School actively participates in the Gosford Learning Community, celebrating Education Week and NAIDOC Week collaboratively with other schools.
