Rumbalara Environmental Education Centre

Rumbalara Environmental Education Centre is dedicated to providing quality environmental education for students, teachers, and the wider community. Nestled within the Rumbalara forest reserve, just moments from Gosford City, the Centre boasts facilities that include an interpretive display, theatre, environmental resource library, and field studies laboratory, alongside access to diverse natural, built, and socio-cultural environments. This unique setting supports the development and implementation of comprehensive environmental education resources and fieldwork programs.

In response to the increasing population growth and rapid urbanisation in the region, Rumbalara's programs emphasise the skills, knowledge, and attitudes essential for sustainable management. The Centre's vision is to foster a community that is more informed and appreciative of local, Australian, and global environments. Through their engagement, they aim to enhance community understanding of environmental issues, improve communication with environmental decision-makers, and encourage active participation in environmental care.

The programs cater to a wide range of students from Kindergarten to Year 12, linking to the NSW syllabus and integrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives.
