教授四年級的新州公立學校
四年級是 Stage 2 的最後一年。對許多家庭而言，這也是決定是否為五、六年級申請**機會班（OC）**學位的一年。
機會班學位分配
機會班是為高潛能學生開設的五、六年級班別，只在少數新州公立小學開辦。家長在孩子四年級時提出申請，學生於同年參加機會班入學測試（Opportunity Class Placement Test），翌年入讀。申請純屬自願，大部分學生會繼續留在原有班別。
四年級的學習
學生運用更大的數字、分數及小數，並按不同文體、結構及讀者對象進行寫作。Stage 2 的學習成果會在學年結束時評估。許多學校亦在三、四年級開辦延伸、體育及創意藝術活動。
