About the school

The Ponds School was established in 2012, initially located on the grounds of Riverstone High School, and has grown to accommodate 112 students ranging from Kindergarten to Year 7, with plans to eventually serve students up to Year 12. This school focuses on students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, many of whom also face complex needs such as autism, physical disabilities, and health care requirements.

Personalised Learning Plans

Each student at The Ponds School has a Personalised Learning Plan (PLP) that is developed collaboratively with families and therapists, ensuring tailored educational experiences that aim for individual goals aligned with the syllabus.
