About the school

Opened in 2021, Galungara Public School is a vibrant and inclusive learning community designed for contemporary education. The school features flexible learning spaces and technology-rich environments that foster creativity, critical thinking, and deep inquiry. Serving a diverse K–6 community, inclusion is central to the school's approach, with students from a range of cultural backgrounds and dedicated support classes for students with disabilities. The school's core vision emphasises strong foundations in literacy and numeracy, a whole-child approach to learning and wellbeing, and fostering student agency through voice and choice. Guided by its motto, Inspire. Create. Flourish., Galungara empowers students to become confident and capable learners.

High-quality, evidence-informed teaching ensures that all students experience growth and success. Staff members collaborate to deliver engaging, differentiated learning, underpinned by ongoing professional development and effective use of data. Wellbeing is embedded throughout the school, promoting positive relationships, clear expectations, and consistent support. The school maintains strong partnerships with families and the community, enhancing learning and ensuring that Galungara Public School remains a dynamic, future-focused environment where every student can thrive.

Located at 95 Farmland Drive, Schofields, the school can currently accommodate 500 students, with future plans to cater for up to 1,000 students as the local population grows. The recent upgrade, part of the NSW Government's plan to enhance public education, adds 20 learning spaces and a Covered Outdoor Learning Area (COLA), with further developments to support the community's educational needs.
