The school emphasises excellence in literacy, numeracy, and student engagement through Best Start data, NAPLAN results, and established literacy and numeracy progressions.
The school’s approach to learning fosters a strong community spirit among students, parents, and staff, working collaboratively to achieve high-quality outcomes. Committed staff members create a supportive environment that encourages self-worth, tolerance, and compassion. The school upholds the motto, "learning today, leading tomorrow," which reflects its philosophy of fostering leadership and responsibility in students.
Marie Bashir Public School offers a range of programs including the MyScience initiative by Macquarie University, which involves hands-on science investigations with industry mentors. The school provides access to various extracurricular activities in sport, dance, music, and drama, ensuring well-rounded student development. Students participate in music classes taught by specialist instructors and have opportunities to perform in school choirs and orchestras.
In addition to its academic strengths, the school values diversity and inclusiveness, providing tailored learning support to meet the needs of all students, including those with additional needs. With strong partnerships with the Parents and Citizens Association, the school is committed to the educational, personal, and social growth of its students.
