About the school

Bolwarra Public School boasts a proud tradition of providing over 165 years of public education to the local community. Despite being only 3 km from Maitland CBD, the school is situated in a rural setting surrounded by extensive playing fields, natural landscapes, and waterways. Bolwarra Public School is a vibrant and evolving learning community of 415 students, their supportive families, and a dedicated, experienced, and highly professional staff. Working together in a collaborative partnership, the Bolwarra school community provides a creative and positive learning environment where each child's individual needs are met, while providing opportunities to succeed and excel.

Along with a strong academic focus, Bolwarra Public School offers a range of additional programs that address the wider learning, social, and developmental needs of all students. Its values centre on developing the principles underpinned by Positive Behaviour for Learning: Safe Respectful Learners. The educational, management, and curriculum practices of the school are evaluated annually through a variety of tools measuring school and external data, with input gathered from staff, students, parents, and caregivers as detailed in the Annual School Report.

The Parents and Citizens Association plays an integral role in supporting school programs and providing additional opportunities throughout each school year. Bolwarra Public School aims to provide a high-quality, comprehensive education that empowers and prepares students for future success.
