教授三年級的新州公立學校
三年級是 Stage 2 的開始，屬小學中段。這是學生首次參加全國 NAPLAN 測試的一年，也是接收幼兒學校學生的小學的入學年級。
NAPLAN
每年 3 月，全澳洲的三年級學生會參加 NAPLAN，範疇包括閱讀、寫作、語文規範（串字、文法及標點）及數理。結果會發給家長及學校，用以協助教學。SchoolAtlas 不發布 NAPLAN 成績，也不用它來比較學校。
三年級的學習
學生閱讀及撰寫更長、更多樣的文章，學習乘法及除法，並接觸分數及數據。科學、歷史及地理成為各自獨立的科目，有自己的探究活動。重點由「學會閱讀」轉向「透過閱讀學習」，學生也需要更獨立地完成工作。
