About the school
Callaghan College Wallsend Campus is a vibrant multi-campus secondary school situated in the north west corridor of Newcastle, catering to students in Years 7 to 10 with an enrolment of 930 students and over 60 dedicated teaching staff. The school is committed to fostering a caring and supportive environment where students can achieve their personal best. It boasts a diverse student body, including a significant number of Aboriginal and English as a Second Language (ESL) students, and maintains international partnerships with schools in Korea.
Facilities and Programs
The Wallsend Campus has recently completed several initiatives aimed at enhancing the learning environment. The Cooler Classrooms project has provided students with healthier spaces for learning, while an extensive LED Lighting Upgrade Program aims to reduce operating costs and improve educational outcomes. The school also participates in a Smart Energy Pilot Project, focusing on sustainable energy solutions, including solar panel installations.
