The school climate is characterised by happiness and positivity, with modern and spacious grounds that feature a balance of shaded areas and open playing fields. Woodport Public School values the correlation between academic success, student wellbeing, and emotional and physical programs such as Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) and You Can Do It.

All classrooms are equipped with modern technology, including Smartboards and iPads, complemented by a dedicated multimedia room. A notable feature is the highly regarded Kindy Start program, running over two terms (15 weeks), which helps children and their families transition to school life.
