Royal Far West School

Royal Far West School (RFWS) is a dedicated educational institution located at Manly, New South Wales, specifically designed to support country students from rural and remote areas throughout the state. The school provides a unique opportunity for students, aged 3 to 18 years, to access essential health specialists while receiving a personalised learning experience tailored to their individual needs. RFWS caters to students facing various medical conditions, including developmental, emotional, and communication difficulties, with 20% of the cohort comprising Aboriginal children. Each week, families travel from across New South Wales to accompany their children, allowing the school to foster strong connections that promote student wellbeing and engagement.

The curriculum at RFWS extends beyond traditional classroom learning, as staff are committed to creating a nurturing environment where students feel valued. The school maintains a close partnership with the Royal Far West Organisation, enabling integrated health, education, and disability services for students and their families.
