About the school
Willmot Public School, located in Mt Druitt, western Sydney, was established in 1973 on the land of the Dharug people. The school collaborates with parents and local community groups, fostering a strong partnership with a small but active P&C association and being part of the Willmot Local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG). Moreover, it is a member of the Luxford Community of Schools.
At Willmot Public School, there is a commitment to delivering strong learning foundations in literacy, numeracy, science, and information and communication technology. The school community champions values such as kindness, respect, and care towards each other, the school, and the environment. The primary objective is for every child to achieve success, be creative, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team. This ethos is embodied in the school-wide expectations, which promote students to be respectful, safe, and engaged learners.
The school adopts a holistic educational approach, maintaining high expectations and providing support to help all students realise their personal best. It emphasises the importance of building a nurturing environment where educational experiences are tailored to the unique needs of every student.
Mission
By walking together and working together, we ensure students' needs are at the centre of all we do, so they can reach their full potential.
