Chatswood High School provides quality teaching and learning programs in a recognised multicultural setting for a diverse range of students with varying abilities and interests. As a proudly local coeducational comprehensive high school, it features an academically selective stream, an Intensive English Centre (IEC), and a support unit for students with mild intellectual disabilities. The school boasts a strong history of success, facilitated by a dedicated staff that delivers robust academic, arts, and sporting programs aimed at developing the interests and talents of every student.
The curriculum at Chatswood High School ensures every student receives the best possible secondary education, preparing them for a successful future. This includes a strong emphasis on extra-curricular activities that allow students to excel in their respective talents. Notably, the school serves as a leading educational centre for multimedia, design, and music productions, housing one of only three state-of-the-art Soundhouse facilities in the country.
HSC students consistently attain outstanding results, with many achieving ATARs of 90 or above, exemplified in 2009 when 86 students received a total of 110 university offers. The school's NAPLAN results also reflect strong academic performance, particularly among Year 7 and Year 9 students who consistently exceed state averages in literacy and numeracy.
