Lucas Gardens School provides a safe and inclusive learning environment for students K-12 with intellectual impairments, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and complex medical conditions. Currently operating on a temporary site in Lakemba, the school is in the process of relocating to a state-of-the-art facility in Canada Bay, designed to accommodate up to 96 students. It offers tailored educational programs and personalised learning plans to empower each student to reach their potential and foster independence.
The school caters to a diverse student body, benefiting from robust community support and partnerships with various service organisations that enhance resources and provide specialised learning environments. Students have access to physiotherapy and speech pathology services through dedicated school-based therapy staff, as well as through referrals to external organisations like ADHC and the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.
