Surveyors Creek Public School is an inclusive institution located in Glenmore Park, within the Penrith Valley, boasting a scenic vista towards the Blue Mountains, surrounded by established gardens and expansive play areas. Since its establishment in 2002, the school has seen significant enrolment growth, currently accommodating 551 students across 21 mainstream classes and 4 integrated Support Unit classes.
The school places a strong emphasis on inclusion, with the Support Unit fully integrated throughout all school activities. It is served by a dedicated and experienced staff committed to providing quality teaching that supports high academic expectations. Community engagement is robust, backed by an active Parents and Citizens (P&C) committee that significantly contributes to school life.
To support diverse learning needs, the Learning Support Team offers various programs, including English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EALD) and a range of literacy initiatives. The curriculum is challenging, with a focus on literacy, numeracy, and information technology, supported by modern facilities and a fully wireless environment which enhances student learning experiences.
Extracurricular activities at Surveyors Creek include opportunities in performing arts such as choir, dance, and debating, with students achieving outstanding results in public speaking and various sports at regional and state levels. The school is a member of the Glenmore Park Learning Alliance, which enhances learning opportunities and facilitates strong transition programs to high schools.
Additionally, Surveyors Creek is a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school, which fosters a supportive, positive learning environment aimed at helping all students reach their academic potential.
