About the school
Bankstown Senior College is located 24 km south west of Sydney, near Bankstown Station. Established in 1991, the College provides senior secondary education for students aged 15 years and older. As one of only four standalone senior high schools in the NSW public education system, it caters to students of all ages and abilities. Notably, over 90% of its students come from backgrounds where languages other than English are spoken, representing more than 40 different countries.
Flexible Learning Environment
The College offers a supportive, non-uniform setting with a four-day week, allowing students to learn at their own pace. This model is particularly beneficial for students balancing education with part-time work or personal commitments.
Courses Offered
Bankstown Senior College specializes in providing a range of courses, including:
- Preliminary and Higher School Certificates
- Certificate II in General and Vocational Education (CGVE), equivalent to Year 10 School Certificate
- Intensive English Classes (IEC)
