Since 2011, Fennell Bay has been implementing the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) Program, achieving positive outcomes for students, staff, and the community. The school's Nar-un-bah, or School as Community Centre (SaCC), plays a crucial role in facilitating access to service provision and inter-agency support for families. Programs offered include a Supported Playgroup, TAFE Outreach, Nutrition workshops, Positive Parenting Workshops, and Transition to School initiatives.

Fennell Bay Public School provides students with opportunities in sports, Creative and Performing Arts, as well as debating and inter-school competitions. The school is actively supported by an engaged Parents and Citizens (P&C) association, which collaborates closely with the school community. The Little Squirts Transition to School program for preschoolers has been running successfully each Thursday since 2016.
