About the school
Kingsgrove Public School is a friendly, high achieving, inclusive, multicultural learning community located in Sydney's southern suburbs. The school features two campuses, with Kindergarten to Year 2 situated about 300 metres from the Years 3 to 6 facilities. Kingsgrove Public School offers excellent literacy and numeracy programs, including the Literacy, Language and Learning (L3) initiative and the Targeted Early Numeracy (TEN) program. In addition to core academics, the school provides a diverse array of extra-curricular activities, encompassing Dance, Choir, Music, and Sport.
In 2016, a new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) centre was opened, enabling students to engage in computer coding, 3D printing, Lego robotics, and multimedia projects including iPad movie making and photography. The school integrates modern technology into classrooms, using computers, laptops, iPads, and interactive whiteboards to enhance the learning experience.
To further support student wellbeing, Kingsgrove Public School has implemented the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) program since 2016. The school also offers quality before and after school care, along with vacation care, in partnership with PrimaryOSHCare. This commitment to a supportive and enriching educational environment ensures that every student has the opportunity to thrive both academically and personally.
