About the school
Sadleir Public School provides a caring and engaging environment for children to learn, accommodating 325 students, with 74% from language backgrounds other than English. Located in the Liverpool Group of schools within the Ultimo network of the NSW Department of Education, the school features 12 mainstream classes, a full day preschool, and three support classes tailored for students with autism and intellectual disabilities.
The dedicated and enthusiastic staff at Sadleir Public School focus on supporting every student to achieve positive learning outcomes through quality teaching. All teachers maintain professional development goals and engage in significant professional learning to create a stimulating environment that challenges students. The school emphasises the importance of enhancing students' social, physical, and emotional wellbeing and values strong partnerships between home and school to maximise outcomes.
The active Parent and Community (P&C) group and community room facilitate workshops for parents, alongside a weekly playgroup, contributing to a supportive community. In line with modern educational needs, the school boasts a computer lab, Interactive Whiteboards in every classroom, and a Connected Classroom. Being part of the 2168 Community of Schools allows Sadleir Public School to collaborate with other local schools to broaden opportunities in performing arts, leadership activities, and professional development. The commitment to inclusivity and diversity is reflected in the school culture, celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all families.
