Its Positive Behaviour for Learning ethos encourages students to uphold values of responsibility, safety, and respect, fostering a happy and harmonious learning environment.
The school offers various support programs for its multicultural community, including playgroups, homework centres, and bilingual learning support officers. Parents can take part in Community information meetings and are actively involved in the Parents and Citizens (P&C) committee. The school also provides before and after school care on-site and has developed a solid transition program for kindergarten students to ease their induction into school life.
Students at Parramatta West are encouraged to excel in both sports and the creative arts, with opportunities to participate in dance, drama, choir, and visual arts, among other activities. The school employs assessment for learning to maximise student development, ensuring that teachers and students collaborate on learning objectives and success criteria. All classrooms are equipped with modern technology, including interactive whiteboards and a dedicated tech hub, allowing students to thrive in a digitally enriched educational environment.
