About the school

Evans High School is a comprehensive, co-educational secondary school located in Blacktown, serving the community since 1973. With over 600 students, 62% of whom speak a language other than English, the school embraces diversity and offers a broad curriculum. This includes a full range of academic subjects and vocational education pathways, empowering students to pursue their desired career paths.

One of the key features of Evans High School is the Evans Intensive English Centre, which supports up to 250 recently arrived international students with intensive English tuition. Many of these students, having come from conflict-affected regions, choose to stay until they complete their education, enriching the school’s cultural mix.

The school is part of a collaborative Learning Community Group with Walters Road Public School and Blacktown West Public School, and hosts a specialist unit for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. It also accommodates the Western Sydney Region Return to School Centre, designed to help students returning from long suspensions. In partnership with Doonside Technology High School and Coreen Special School, a Trade Training Centre was established on campus, featuring state-of-the-art facilities for Hospitality and Metals and Engineering.

Evans High School commits to fostering motivation, respect, and trustworthiness among students, providing a safe and engaging environment where every child can learn and grow successfully.

Mission
