Sydney Childrens Hospital School

Sydney Children's Hospital School is a Kindergarten to Year 12 School for Specific Purposes, operating within the Sydney Children's Hospital. It functions as a collaboration between the hospital and the NSW Department of Education and Training. The school supports an average of 70 students weekly, primarily those who are patients in the hospital enrolled in both public and private schools, as well as siblings of these patients, subject to the Principal's consultation.

The school's staff includes a Principal, five full-time teachers, one part-time teacher, three School Learning Support Officers, and a School Administrative Manager. They focus on providing equitable learning experiences that cater to both primary and high school students across various wards in the hospital. Ensuring continuity and normality for hospitalised students is central to the school's mission, allowing them to reach their educational goals despite challenging circumstances.

The classrooms are multi-staged, providing a tailored educational environment for students from Kindergarten to Year 12. In addition to traditional learning spaces, the school features multi-purpose rooms and a courtyard playground to support physical activity and social interaction during breaks.
