About the school

Parry School is an award-winning New South Wales Department of Education and Training school for Specific Purposes, catering for students with significant behavioural difficulties from years 7 to 10. It serves students who have documented patterns of behavioural issues, which have not been effectively resolved despite intensive interventions. The school's primary focus is to assist students in understanding their behaviour and accepting responsibility for their actions. Parry School provides a highly structured learning environment that empowers students to acquire new skills while remaining connected to their home schools. The curriculum is designed to teach essential social, behavioural, and academic skills to ensure a successful transition back to mainstream education and further study.

The school is staffed by trained specialist educators who implement innovative and relevant programmes based on current educational research. Additionally, Parry School has transitioned to a purpose-built facility, enhancing its ability to accommodate the specific needs of its student community. This new site includes recreational spaces and grounds that support the structured programmes offered by the school. Parry School is committed to fostering positive interactions and supporting the personal and educational development of each student. By working closely with families and community agencies, the school develops individualised plans tailored to meet the needs of its students.
