Banks Public School encourages students to strive for excellence through quality teaching and learning programs offered by motivated and experienced teachers. The school's purpose is to provide a wide range of opportunities for students to gain knowledge, skills, positive attitudes, and values in order to be lifelong learners and worthy citizens of tomorrow. Learning Environment

Banks Public School provides a happy, secure, and challenging environment in which students participate in a wide range of academic, social, sporting, and cultural experiences. In addition to a strong focus on literacy and numeracy, the school places emphasis on a rich variety of extra-curricular activities. These include peer support, computer technology, enrichment classes in art, maths, and technology, dance, choir, and a wide range of sports such as AFL, basketball, rugby league, gymnastics, soccer, touch football, and daily fitness.

The high level of dedication and commitment of staff members, combined with the strong support and cooperation of parents and community members, ensures that students have a nurturing school community in which to grow and learn. The school strives to enable every child to feel safe, included, and confident from their first day, working closely with families to create tailored learning experiences for each student.
