About the school

Lake Albert Public School continues to provide quality education to the local community as it has done since 1868. The Lake Albert School Community is founded upon the principles that every child has the right and responsibility to learn, every teacher has the right and responsibility to teach, and every parent/carer has the right and responsibility to be involved in their child's education. The core values of the school community revolve around being kind, polite, safe, and tidy. The school motto, Strive and Succeed, underpins all of these values and focuses on developing students as valuable community members.

With a strong emphasis on academic achievement, students have opportunities to participate in various challenges such as the NAPLAN assessment program, the Premier's Spelling Bee, the Reading Challenge, and University of NSW tests. Additionally, students are encouraged to express themselves creatively through music, dance, and performing arts programs. Lake Albert Public School boasts a proud sporting tradition, with multiple talented students showcased in the school hallways.

The school accommodates 15 mainstream classes along with an IO class, providing tailored support aligned with students' needs. A before and after-school program operates daily, supplementing a vacation care program to support working families. Recently, the school completed several infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing the learning environment, including the Cooler Classrooms project and LED lighting upgrades. All these initiatives contribute to nurturing a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, vital for students' seamless schooling journey from early learning through to secondary education.
