About the school
Lisarow Public School is a public school with approximately 200 students, located in picturesque rural surrounds on the Central Coast of NSW. Having served the local community for 90 years, the school fosters a welcoming and friendly environment where students are encouraged to achieve their personal best. Strong partnerships among teachers, parents, and the community enhance the quality of programs available to the students.
Curriculum and Activities
The school provides students with opportunities to engage in various curriculum areas, including Creative and Performing Arts, Sport, and Environmental activities. Annually, it participates in the Central Coast Dance Festival and the biennial Central Coast Choral Festival. Students also compete in the Premier's Debating Challenge and participate in an inter-school public speaking competition, with the opportunity to advance to zone and regional levels. Further promoting literacy and numeracy, students can engage in the Premier's Reading Challenge and Spelling Bee.
In athletics, Lisarow Public School enters teams into NSW PSSA Knockout Competitions and conducts school athletics, swimming, and cross country carnivals. It implements Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) and The Resilience Project, guided by expectations of Respect, Responsibility, and Personal Best.
Community Involvement
The school boasts an active Parents and Citizens Association and School Council, both of which play an essential role in supporting various school initiatives. As a proud member of the Valley Schools Learning Community, Lisarow Public School promotes an inclusive atmosphere where all students are valued and encouraged to thrive.
