About the school
Marsden Road Public School was established in 1962 on the traditional lands of the Cabrogal of the Darug Nation. The institution serves a diverse community, with 90 percent of its students originating from a language background other than English, representing 57 different cultural backgrounds. Approximately 20 percent of the student body has experienced refugee status. Committed to high standards in academics, civics, and citizenship, the school upholds quality pedagogy based on research and evidence, ensuring systematic and explicit teaching, particularly in English and mathematics.
Extracurricular activities are a critical component of the school's curriculum, offering music, dance, art, chess club, debating, public speaking, environmental studies, and sports.
