About the school
Warren Central School is dedicated to providing a stimulating, caring, and cooperative learning environment for approximately 244 students, including over 100 Aboriginal students from the local township of Warren and surrounding rural areas. The school prides itself on fostering an inclusive atmosphere for both mainstream learners and those with disabilities. Well-resourced to support a variety of learning programs, Warren Central School ensures that all students engage in lifelong learning and become responsible citizens through quality education. In 2008, external tests indicated an overall improvement in student performance in literacy and numeracy. Starting from 2009, the school has focused on enhancing learning capacities with a strong emphasis on quality teaching and technology, supported by the Country Areas Program and the Priority Schools Program.
Learning Environment
The school offers a safe and positive environment where students can thrive. With initiatives like the Cooler Classrooms project completed, it provides a healthier learning space. Students have access to modern, air-conditioned demountable classrooms equipped with technology comparable to permanent facilities.
