教授十年級的新州公立中學
十年級是 Stage 5 及強制教育年期的最後一年。學生在這一年獲得計入**學校成就紀錄（RoSA）**的 Stage 5 等級，並為十一、十二年級選擇高中課程。
RoSA 與繼續升學
NESA 的學校成就紀錄是為完成十年級後、未完成 HSC 便離校的學生而設的證書，記錄 Stage 5 結束時所獲的等級。在新州，學生必須留校至完成十年級，其後須繼續全時間接受教育、培訓或工作（或三者結合），直至年滿 17 歲。
選擇高中課程
十年級期間，學校會為十一年級的 HSC 預備課程（Preliminary HSC）進行選科。部分學生會在十一、十二年級轉到只教授這兩個年級的高中學院或高中校區，或加入鄰近學校之間的聯校安排。
