Rosebank Public School
We help every student to learn, grow and succeed.
About the school
Rosebank Public School is a picturesque small school set in the lush green hinterland behind Byron Bay. In 2016, the school celebrated its 125th year of delivering quality public education. The school enjoys strong support from parents, friends, and community groups. In its multi-age classes, children engage in personalised and holistic learning, participating in programs characterised by academic rigour and relevance to their real lives. In line with its commitment to Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), students are encouraged to embrace shared values of Respect, Integrity, Safety, and Excellence.
The expansive grounds at Rosebank Public School provide multiple opportunities for outdoor learning, and the school collaborates with local artistic talent to enrich Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) programs. Students actively engage in unique learning experiences, including sampling water in the adjacent Nature Reserve, basket weaving with local artisans, learning about Aboriginal cultural business from a Bundjalung Elder, or examining microorganisms through a medical microscope.
Additional learning opportunities in Sport, CAPA, and for Gifted and Talented students are made possible through strategic partnerships with other local small schools and the Rivers P-12 Learning Community.
Mission
At Rosebank Public School, we are dedicated to creating a vibrant learning environment where every student is given diverse opportunities to grow and succeed. We uphold a culture of high expectations, delivering a tailored curriculum through quality teaching practices that build strong foundations in literacy and numeracy.
