Cambridge Gardens Public School
Innovation, excellence, connections and fun!
About the school
Cambridge Gardens Public School is a welcoming and innovative educational establishment located in the Penrith valley. The school prides itself on providing a safe and purposeful learning environment that fosters the development of successful citizens. With a firm academic focus and extensive extracurricular opportunities, the school promotes strong community involvement. Cambridge Gardens Public School has been serving the community since 1978 and currently supports 475 students across 19 classes from Early Stage 1 to Stage 3.
The school is noted for its significant use of technology across all key learning areas and actively participates in the Early Action for Success initiative. In recent years, enrolments have increased by over 100 students, surpassing its enrolment buffer, which unfortunately prevents the acceptance of non-local enrolments. The school has become a choice for families in the Jordan Springs housing development, offering an educational pathway until the new Jordan Springs Public School opens in 2020.
Diversity is a hallmark of the school community, with 11% of the students identifying as Aboriginal and 16% from non-English speaking backgrounds. The dedicated staff at Cambridge Gardens, comprising experienced and beginning teachers alongside learning and support personnel, work tirelessly to promote quality educational practices and enhance learning outcomes for all students. With strong community ties and a commitment to student success, Cambridge Gardens Public School continues to be a vital part of the local educational landscape.
Mission
Cambridge Gardens Public School seeks to find and implement new ideas and processes that create value, solve processes and lead to progress and growth. Through dedication and hard work we work to achieve excellence across our school.
