About the school
Barellan Central School is a K–12 school located in the northern Riverina of NSW, 49km North of Leeton and 55km East of Griffith. The school provides highly successful vocational education and training programs and is one of six central schools that comprise the Riverina Access Partnership (RAP), leveraging video conference technology to enhance the curriculum options for students completing their Higher School Certificate. Working towards strategic directions that focus on Quality Teaching and Learning, Wellbeing, and Community Partnerships, the school has implemented a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) model and established Quality Systems that Support High Expectations.
An active Parent and Community (P&C) group strongly supports the school, fostering a sense of community among students and families. Comprehensive accessibility is a priority, and numerous ramps have been installed throughout the campus to ensure all students can navigate the facilities with ease. Recently, the completion of the Cooler Classrooms project has further improved the learning environment, making it healthier and more conducive to education.
Barellan Central School is dedicated to welcoming all students from diverse backgrounds and ensuring they feel safe, included, and ready to learn. This inclusive ethos is complemented by a strong focus on growth and high expectations, encouraging students to explore a wide range of subjects and opportunities that empower them to discover their passions and develop their skills.

At Barellan Central School, learning, growth, and belonging are at the core of every student's journey. Our committed staff value knowledge as the key to student success in all domains: improved academic achievement, wellbeing, and building students' agency and aspiration.
