Captains Flat Public School, located in a rural village south-east of Queanbeyan on the Southern Tablelands, offers a welcoming educational environment for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school prides itself on providing quality teaching and enriching programs in a safe and caring atmosphere. With experienced and professional teaching staff, Captains Flat Public School operates two composite classes: K/1/2 and 3/4/5/6. To support individual learning needs, the school employs a Learning and Support Teacher along with Support Officers, ensuring that every student receives personalised attention.
The curriculum focuses significantly on literacy and numeracy, contributing to strong academic performance. The L3 program and MULTILIT are effectively implemented in their classrooms to provide additional learning support. Furthermore, the school offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including a specialized music program, sporting opportunities, and dance.
