About the school
At Murringo Public School, the philosophy is 'Every Child, Every Chance, Every Day'. This school offers an education for life within a family atmosphere where each child receives support from dedicated and enthusiastic staff as well as an engaged community. Murringo Public School boasts a vibrant and caring environment with a proud tradition spanning 150 years. While embracing modern educational practices, the school utilises state-of-the-art technology and programs designed to prepare students for global challenges.
Murringo Public School maintains an excellent relationship with the Parents and Citizens Association, where many parents actively volunteer. A sequential, planned, and evaluated instruction framework is upheld across all Key Learning Areas. Students are encouraged to participate in various competitions, including public speaking, debating, and spelling, and receive musical and artistic instruction from specialists. Furthermore, the school hosts a rock band, guitar ensemble, drum corps, and marimba ensemble, enabling students to compete at District, Regional, and State events, including the Learning To Lead sports program.
For students with special learning needs, intensive literacy and numeracy programs are available. Murringo Public School is also a proud member of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, promoting environmentally sustainable practices throughout the school community.
