The Meadows Public School
A community that celebrates difference and grows from it.
About the school
The Meadows Public School is a vibrant and caring learning community situated in Seven Hills, proudly serving the local area for over 130 years. This comprehensive co-educational school caters to students from Kindergarten to Year 6, fostering an inclusive atmosphere where every child is valued and supported from day one. With a diverse student body that includes Aboriginal students, the school is committed to recognising and celebrating cultural differences, which are seen as strengths within the community.
Academic and Support Programs
The Meadows Public School places a strong emphasis on helping all students achieve their personal best across academic, physical, and cultural domains. The school implements a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) framework, enhancing student learning and fostering a safe and supportive environment. A support class is also available for students with mild intellectual disabilities, ensuring tailored educational experiences.
Community Engagement
The school values the partnership between educators and families, working collaboratively to track student success and foster a sense of belonging. A small but active Parents and Citizens (P&C) association supports school initiatives and encourages parental involvement. Additionally, a School as Community Centre (SaCC) operates on-site to provide resources for parents with young children.
Extracurricular Activities
The Meadows offers a variety of extracurricular opportunities ranging from sporting activities to the creative arts. The school is dedicated to recognising individual strengths and developing talents through programs like High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE). This comprehensive approach ensures that every student has the opportunity not only to learn but to thrive in a welcoming and supportive community.
Mission
We help every student to learn, grow and succeed. A place where every child belongs. Our diversity is our strength.
