About the school
Frank Partridge VC Public School, established in 1989, is located in Nambucca Heads and is part of the Nambucca Valley Community of Public Schools in the Mid North Coast. The school is well-regarded for its comprehensive approach to literacy and numeracy, and aims to offer high-quality learning experiences tailored to the diverse needs of its students. Integrating state-of-the-art technology into everyday learning, the school features interactive whiteboards, iPads, and laptops in every classroom. The recent addition of new interactive Prowise boards and an increase in iPad availability further enhances student access to these essential tools.
The school provides extension programs in drama, literacy, numeracy, and music for gifted students, supported by dedicated and innovative teachers who foster a warm and effective learning environment. Additional funding facilitates a variety of support programs for students with specific needs, while extracurricular activities such as band, school musical performances, and 'Gumbaynggir' language classes enrich the student experience.
Frank Partridge VC Public School has implemented a Positive Behaviour for Learning program that encourages students to do 'Our Best Always', demonstrating responsibility, respect for others, and community. Innovative welfare programs have led to improved attendance and behaviour among students. The school plays a vital role in its community and committedly aims to raise its profile and enhance educational outcomes for all its students. To prepare young learners, the school runs a transition program for 4-5-year-olds in collaboration with local preschools, ensuring a smooth start to their educational journey.
