Binalong Public School is situated on Ngunnawal country, an hour north-west of Canberra. Established in 1861, the school has a proud history of delivering quality education, with notable alumni such as AB 'Banjo' Paterson. The name "Binalong" translates to "Towards a Higher Place" in the Ngunnawal language, which is also the school's motto.
Set on approximately 2.5 hectares, the school boasts an attractive environment surrounded by native trees and shrubs.
