About the school
Mogo Public School is located on the Princes Highway, ten kilometres south of Batemans Bay and six kilometres from Broulee, uniquely positioned in a small community with 66 students. The school serves families from Tomakin, Mossy Point, Broulee, and Mogo itself. It consists of two main permanent buildings, one housing the library and a primary classroom, along with an administration block and two demountable classrooms.
The school prides itself on its strong connection to the local Aboriginal culture, offering a robust Aboriginal Education program that includes mandatory cultural units for every class and special cultural days throughout the year. The local Aboriginal language, Dhurga, is also taught across the school and at the nearby Pre-School. Mogo Public School participates in the Eurobodalla/Braidwood Learning Community, engaging in collaborative activities with eleven other schools.
An active Parent and Citizens Association and Aboriginal Community Group provide strong community involvement. Mogo Public School focuses on building a safe and inclusive environment, ensuring that every child is supported and has access to high-quality education. The school's vision centres around fostering respect, curiosity, and inclusion, while promoting the wellbeing and success of every student. Through partnerships with families and cultural connections, the school empowers students to become confident and resilient learners.
