Tweed Heads South Public School is located by the Tweed River, surrounded by sacred mountain ranges on the far north coast of NSW. Established in 1958, the school has a rich history and is culturally significant for the Minjungbal people of the Bundjalung Nation. The school promotes a vibrant and caring educational environment where all children can learn and develop as individuals. Presently, it serves 167 students, with 41 percent identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, and 6.6 percent from non-English speaking backgrounds.

It hosts the only onsite Department of Education preschool in the region, ensuring a seamless educational journey from preschool to Year 12.
