About the school
Moorland Public School serves a small rural community located 30 kilometres north of Taree, adjacent to the busy Pacific Highway. Many students at the school have parents or grandparents who have lived in the district for generations. The school is equipped with access to playing fields, tennis courts, and an indoor hall, enhancing the physical education opportunities available to students.
Educational Focus
The school aims to provide a broad range of educational experiences, with a strong emphasis on Literacy and Numeracy to ensure the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of all students. Moorland Public School prides itself on fostering an inclusive environment where every child feels safe and supported.
From 2026, the school will also be offering Preschool education, which will provide an engaging and secure setting for preschool children, featuring specially designed learning and play spaces. This initiative underscores the school’s commitment to early childhood education and community support.
