About the school
Nundle Public School is a centre piece of the beautiful village of Nundle, established for over 130 years, providing an excellent education to children from the local village and surrounding properties. Despite being 60km from the nearest city of Tamworth, students at Nundle do not feel isolated. The school offers excellent opportunities in both the arts and sport, and local community members are heavily involved in extending educational opportunities for students.
The school boasts excellent facilities, including a 25 metre swimming pool across the street, tennis courts and a town oval next to the school, an excellent park that often serves as an extension of the playground, and a golf course and bowling green just a short walk away. Nundle Public School prides itself on offering individualised education in a small and caring environment, where every teacher knows each student and the community actively participates in educational initiatives.
Nundle Public School upholds its motto of 'Honour, Industry, and Truth' throughout daily school life, ensuring that new students feel welcome and quickly become part of a vibrant school culture. Students are encouraged to engage in extracurricular activities, including sports and afternoon music lessons. The Great Nundle Dog Race, a significant event organised by the P&C, raises funds for the school every year, with parent and carer participation encouraged.
