About the school
Warragamba Public School opened in 1948 and is located in a semi-rural area of Western Sydney, adjacent to Warragamba Dam. The school serves a supportive and close-knit community characterised by caring parents and a high level of interest in education. Its vision is to provide an attractive, safe, and caring school environment where effective and diverse teaching and learning take place. This goal is pursued through a culture of inclusivity, embracing new strategies and directions for student achievement.
The school is known for its academic, sporting, and cultural accomplishments and has seen growth in its student body. Over the years, it has undergone physical transformations including the construction of a new school hall, a large covered outdoor learning area (COLA), the extension of the administration block, and refurbishment of student amenities. Additionally, Warragamba Public School has equipped its classrooms with Interactive White Boards and implemented a Connected Classrooms package, enhancing the teaching and learning experience for both students and staff.
Warragamba Public School prides itself on the collaboration between parents and students to foster a learning environment that values traditional education while adapting to technological and social changes. With ongoing support from the local community, the school continues to thrive, creating a space where every student feels safe, included, and encouraged to succeed.
