教授四年级的新州公立学校
四年级是 Stage 2 的最后一年。对许多家庭而言，这也是决定是否为五、六年级申请**机会班（OC）**学位的一年。
机会班学位分配
机会班是为高潜能学生开设的五、六年级班级，只在少数新州公立小学开办。家长在孩子四年级时提出申请，学生于同年参加机会班入学测试（Opportunity Class Placement Test），次年入读。申请纯属自愿，大部分学生会继续留在原有班级。
四年级的学习
学生运用更大的数字、分数及小数，并按不同文体、结构及读者对象进行写作。Stage 2 的学习成果会在学年结束时评估。许多学校也在三、四年级开设拓展、体育及创意艺术活动。
