教授十年级的新州公立中学
十年级是 Stage 5 及义务教育年限的最后一年。学生在这一年获得计入**学校成就记录（RoSA）**的 Stage 5 等级，并为十一、十二年级选择高中课程。
RoSA 与继续升学
NESA 的学校成就记录是为完成十年级后、未完成 HSC 便离校的学生而设的证书，记录 Stage 5 结束时所获的等级。在新州，学生必须留校至完成十年级，其后须继续全日制接受教育、培训或工作（或三者结合），直至年满 17 岁。
选择高中课程
十年级期间，学校会为十一年级的 HSC 预备课程（Preliminary HSC）进行选科。部分学生会在十一、十二年级转到只教授这两个年级的高中学院或高中校区，或加入邻近学校之间的联校安排。
