About the school
Eden Marine High School is a comprehensive co-educational school located on the far south coast of New South Wales, recognised as the southernmost high school in the state. Given its geographical isolation, the school is dedicated to supporting all students in reaching their potential through a robust welfare program based on the core values of respect, responsibility, and resilience. Each cohort benefits from dedicated guidance from year advisers and head teachers, ensuring that individual learning needs are met effectively.
The school has garnered recognition as a Centre for Excellence, attributed to its commitment to academic success and quality marine education programmes, alongside extensive vocational education and training opportunities. Serving as a designated Trade Training Centre, it partners with TAFE to provide courses in Metals and Engineering, Boat Building, and Boat Repair.
With a strong emphasis on technology integration, classrooms are equipped with digital projectors and internet access, enhancing the teaching and learning experience. The school's curriculum is evolving towards a web-based delivery model, facilitating easier access to educational materials.
Eden Marine High School is also noted for its accomplishments in sports and contributions to the creative and performing arts. The school actively collaborates with community, educational, and industry partners to offer a wide range of programs, including those focused on Aboriginal education and student welfare.
Additionally, it is a proud member of the Sapphire Coast Learning Community, which includes two high schools, fourteen primary schools, and an environmental education centre, collaboratively working to ensure quality education from kindergarten to Year 12.
