About the school
Huntingdon Public School is a small, rural school located 9 kms west of Wauchope. In partnership with the school community, it strives to provide the best education possible for its students in a happy, safe and caring environment. The school encourages and expects all students to work to the best of their ability, become competent in literacy and numeracy, take responsibility for their own learning, and be respectful and helpful towards each other. Students are also encouraged to take pride in themselves and their work, make good use of their time, and take part in the effective running of the school through the Pupil School Council. At Huntingdon Public School, all students are expected to have good self-esteem, be confident, and not be afraid to 'have a go'. The school's philosophy prioritises making education enjoyable, which is confirmed by their pupil survey indicating that 100% of students enjoy coming to school every day. The curriculum is designed to cater for individual needs while providing engaging activities, which aligns with the school's motto: 'Having Fun As We Learn.' Huntingdon Public School is committed to fostering a positive and supportive culture, nurturing each student academically, socially, and emotionally.
