About the school
Singleton High School is a large comprehensive rural high school located in the Muswellbrook Education Area, catering to students from Year 7 to Year 12. The school is dedicated to fostering a 'Learning Community fostering the talents of all students for a better future'. It offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes a diverse range of traditional subjects along with dual-accredited vocational education courses. Students have the opportunity to access Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses delivered by TAFE at Singleton TAFE.
Educational Focus
The school is committed to enhancing educational opportunities for all students. It has implemented explicit models of Quality Teaching, along with strategies for improving literacy and numeracy. Innovations in authentic assessment for Year 10 have also been integrated. Additionally, an interdisciplinary curriculum for Year 7 encourages an investigative learning approach, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
